The chiropractor will apply a sudden thrust to an affected vertebra either using their hands or a small instrument, ultimately correcting its position and allowing your body to heal. While the adjustment usually won’t hurt, you may hear a “click” (which is the result of the release of gas between the misaligned vertebrae). You may require a series of adjustments over the course of time to gain the full benefits of the treatment and to prevent the problem from recurring.
